One-to-one coaching that deepen self-understanding around motivation, pattern, and inner drivers.

In one-to-one coaching, we may also use the Enneagram as a reflective tool to deepen self-understanding around motivation, pattern, and inner drivers. We use it selectively as a complement to other coaching tools and approaches.

Prologue uses the RHETI assessment through the renowned Enneagram Institute, which offers a fuller profile across all nine types rather than identifying one dominant type. This provides a practical reflective tool that helps initiate coaching conversations about habitual and protective patterns, and default strategies the client may rely on, especially under pressure, and create more conscious choice in how they lead, relate, and respond. Used this way, it supports the deeper personal work that sits well within the INpowered Leadership pillar.

This tool is not used as widely as Lumina or EQ-i 2.0. It belongs primarily in one-to-one developmental work, where there is enough trust, context, and space to use it well.

What this work enables

  • Deeper reflection on motivation, habit, and recurring leadership patterns.
  • Greater awareness of what may be driving behaviour under stress or in relationships.
  • More conscious choice in how a leader responds rather than reacting automatically.
  • A coaching conversation that goes below surface behaviour into pattern and meaning.

What this can look like

  • A RHETI assessment used within a one-to-one coaching process.
  • A coaching conversation focused on recurring patterns, motivations, and blind spots.
  • Reflective work that helps a leader better understand their default responses in relationships, conflict, or pressure.
  • A complementary tool within a broader coaching journey focused on self-awareness and leadership practice.

Who this is for

  • Coaching clients who want a deeper reflective lens on their inner drivers and recurring patterns.
  • Leaders who are open to personal development work that goes beyond surface behaviour.
  • People who want to better understand how they tend to respond in relationships, tension, and stress.
